Tucker, H. (2000). The place of the personal: The changing face of foreign language literature in a Standards-based curriculum. ADFL Bulletin, 31(2), (53-58).

Of interest to literature instructors, primarily at the post-secondary level. The author discusses how to shift the positionality in the literature class from teacher-centered to learner-centered activities. Specifically, the author describes a classroom activity she designed in which she integrated the Standards into her lesson during the analysis of a 17th century French text by having her students do a role play around the notion of a salon. She describes how the students engaged in the learner outcomes for each of the 5 C's in the activity.
