This article will be of great interest to faculty whose campuses have or are planning to create Learning Communities. LC programs cluster a number of courses around a theme; students enroll in this cluster which might contain a full semester number of credits. The article illustrates how the Standards can serve as an organizer for Foreign Language participation in a Learning Community enhancing the language departments visibility and contribution to this concept. Examples provided.
