This article will interest primarily high school Spanish teachers. It reports on how a teacher responded to the diversity of her students by building lessons on the Standards and having students keep notebooks with specific examples of working toward the Standards. This article describes techniques such as the Spanish notebook, oral presentations, the Amigo Latino, experiences abroad, international night, volunteer opportunities, technology, group dynamics, professional development and the multi-level classroom.
