This article will interest middle and high school teachers and teacher trainers. It presents a Maryland school district's professional development plan inspired by the Annenberg session at the 2003 conference of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. The professional development consisted of three courses built around the videos and anchored in discussion of the 5Cs.
