Publications on the National Standards

In this chapter, of particular interest to teachers and administrators, Met explores the theoretical rational behind the Connections Standards through a Constructive and Communicative perspective and content-driven and language-driven programs. She addresses the student's role in acquiring information about personal interests and making connections that will lead to enrichment beyond the classroom setting. Through interdisciplinary study, students will develop intellectually, and gain important communication skills, insight and perspectives on other cultures.
