This chapter, of particular interest to world language educators at all levels, describes the need for language teaching to move beyond the four skills plus culture approach. Osborn advocates for interdisciplinarity in world language education and promotes a framework, Critical Inquiry Cycle (CIC), as tool to organize curricula based on inquiry.
