The article is particularly relevant for readers who are interested how technology can support a standard-driven curriculum. The authors describe a research study that assesses learners' perceptions regarding the effectiveness of computer program called EthnoDeutsch. Thirty-two adult learners of German participated in the study. Subjects rated the program as having been significantly more helpful with the goal area of Culture as compared to Communication, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities.
