This chapter would be of interest to teachers and administrators who work with heritage students of Spanish. The author provides a brief history of demographics and Spanish heritage teaching in the United States and summarizes efforts by AATSP, ACTFL, and the National Foreign Language Resource Centers to address heritage language learning.
