Davis, J. J. (2000). From where I sit: The Standards and university instruction. ADFL Bulletin, 31(2), (61-63).

Of interest primarily to postsecondary educators, Davis advocates the relevance of the National Standards on the college and university levels. He does, nonetheless, express skepticism regarding two broad areas: teacher education or miseducation and curricular articulation or misarticulation between postsecondary and secondary and elementary programs. In his view, in order for higher education to embrace and benefit from the Standards, faculty development and more specialized teacher education are needed.
