With reference to research on use of the web as a learning tool, the author argues for using web-based student pages in intermediate and advanced-level post-secondary language courses and then provides examples of a variety of activities around all five Standards. Noteworthy attention is paid to how to assign these activities in stages and to assess them, as well as describing the conditions for optimal success in their implementation.
