This article will interest teachers of all languages at both the high school and undergraduate levels, especially those teachers who have connects with a heritage population in their communities. Chaston explains using oral histories in the language learning process, discussing the benefits of connecting with local immigrant populations through the use of interviews. These interviews become the point of departure for grammatical and cultural lessons as well as links to other disciplines.
