Publications on the National Standards

This brief article recaps a superintendent's motivational address in support of the Standards, given at ACTFL in 1995. The author encourages his audience to arouse support for the Standards and for language learning in the community, especially at the elementary school level. This article demonstrates how administrators, school boards, and researchers responded to the Standards when they were first announced.
