The newly formed The Language Educator (TLE) Advisory Panel will assist in a variety of duties, from helping review articles to helping promote TLE and soliciting authors and submissions. All work will be conducted online, with an initial kick-off face-to-face meeting at the 2019 ACTFL Convention in Washington, DC. The Advisory Panel will consist of approximately 5-6 individuals interested in TLE. Prior experience with editing and reviewing articles is highly preferred, but not required. Advisory Panel members will read article submissions and provide an anonymous critique based on a provided form and rubric to the author. Advisory Panel members will be responsible for accepting, rejecting, or accepting with revisions of all articles submitted. Advisory Panel members will also be responsible for soliciting authors/responses for the So You Say, TechWatch, and Educator Tip sections of the magazine. Advisory Panel members will also be responsible for uploading and sharing articles on the TLE Community on a regular basis. The term will be November 2019 - October 2020. Members will be selected by the TLE editor and ACTFL staff. Notifications of acceptance will go out in early November.
