n this workshop, we focus on what to do with qualitative data after it has been collected and how to craft a story from our findings. First, we begin by exploring theoretical frameworks and methodologies that can guide analysis, as well as the stages and challenges of coding qualitative data. Second, we discuss strategies for clearly communicating both the empirical rigor of a study and the significance of the results. Throughout the session, there will be concrete examples, additional resources, and opportunities for questions and discussion.

In this workshop, Dr. Tracy Quan (UC Boulder) illustrates various approaches to coding and reporting qualitative data in language education research. The second half of this practical workshop will include time for questions and dialogue.
