ACTFL Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are volunteer-led groups based around a specific topic, language, or level. ACTFL SIG Officers work together to provide educational opportunities (webinars) and networking throughout the year.

The SIG Officer Leadership pipeline is as follows: The Vice-Chair position will be for a one-year period, automatically rolling into the Chair position the following year, and the Past-Chair the year after that. This will be a three-year term, with one year in each position. This process will create a permanent Past-Chair position for each group. The Secretary position will be for a two-year term, with the option to renew for another two years.
