VR Without the Barriers: Accessible Immersive Language Learning with AI

How can immersive language learning engage neurodiverse learners without creating new cognitive, sensory, or technological barriers? This hands-on webinar takes participants through the process of designing an accessible immersive language lesson from start to finish. Using sample VR language lessons, participants will first experience immersive activities from the learner's perspective and then examine the design choices behind them.

The session will explore what to include, what to avoid, and why, with particular attention to cognitive load, clear instructions and navigation, scaffolding, learner choice, multimedia, and flexible participation. No VR headset or advanced technical experience is required.
